The Arch is very pleased to present the intriguing work of recent Rietveld graduate Myrto Christou (1995, Athens, Greece). With an approach reminiscent of the Expressionists, Christou attempts to create an aesthetic experience that mirrors her emotions. Not relying on any structure, she uses freely whatever form suits her mood. Almost like reading words, or listening to music, her strong pictorial language calls upon a certain feeling. With fresh and bold brushwork, Christou convinces us of her intimate communication.
