MALIN PERSSON

“Inner Landscape /

Transformed Landscape I”

The Arch joyfully presents Swedish painter Malin Persson. Mesmerized by the view of the landscape, she attempts to capture its beguiling effect in all her work. With a very limited range of paints, she meticulously applies different hues of colour on linen. In her iconic pixel paintings, these hues are abstracted by a raster, resembling the pixels on your screen. By placing these next to a figurative painting, she sensibly connects the two forms. Before you know it, the next time you’re in the country side, you’ll find yourself counting how little colours are actually there.
