AFRA EISMA

'Echo' 

The Arch is excited to present the multi-media artist Afra Eisma. Using various traditional techniques, Eisma gives us a glimpse into her mind and the colourful fantasy that exists there. She works obsessively in isolation in her studio, for long periods of time, working on textiles, videos and installations. However, when the work is completed, Eisma welcomes as many viewers as possible encouraging them to feel united by the work. In this piece entitled ‘Echo’, a wide range of colours and symbols melt together in a soft tufted tapestry, uniting all that already is.
