The Arch is delighted to present Syrian born artist Rabi Koria. He mainly works with oil paint on bathroom tiles, with which he creates tile panels, inspired by the ancient ceramic technique from Damascus. Abstract forms are alternated with figurative elements, the combination and juxtaposition forming an expression of our confusing times. To emphasize this, Koria uses different fragmented layers to create perspective, which can be related to the way our thoughts are often formed from a constant stream of digital images.
