The Arch is proud to present fashion designer Duran Lantink. His work has been shown at fashion weeks as well as museums, where is known for his ‘upcycling’ method. He creates new pieces out of old stock and discarded luxury garments. Criticizing fast fashion, overconsumption, branding and waste, Lantink is trying to address the environmental, economical and political issues of the fashion industry. In these hybrid shoes, Miu Miu heels and Nikes are mashed-up into something between an elegant gala attribute, a comfortable sneaker and a Postmodernist sculpture.
