The Arch is delighted to present Brooklyn-based conceptual artist Ashley Zelinksie. She is working at the intersection of art, technology and mathematics, using cutting edge technology such as 3D printing and computer-guided laser cutting. Like most sculptures Zelinksie creates, the one presented here (a combination of a self portrait and 'kepler solid' form), is made out of codes. A computer could read this code and define the form and the person (kepler form + woman, blond, blue eyes, etc.). It's a commentary on our intense desire to become one with our mechanical companions. This is art you and your computer both can enjoy.
